Knowing Your There

Dear Guppy,
I wanted to start your own blog in hopes that I would be better at documenting this wonderful event that is taking place in both of our lives. You developing. Dad and I getting ready to welcome you to the world. Of course I started this blog but never found the time to update...actually update is the wrong word, more like start posting stuff. Here we are...Home alone and all I could think of to do is finally start this blog. I think you approve because you just kicked me.
Its very surreal that you are only about 2-3 inches away from me. Granted those 2-3 inches are not easy to get through, but just knowing you are that close is surreal. Every time I look down and see the bump that use to be my belly, it makes me smile because I can't wait to meet you. Dad and I always talk about what you are going to be like, what grand adventures we want to take you on, what little nuggets of wisdom can we give you and in return what little nuggets of wisdom are we going to receive from you.  We are just so excited to meet you!
Take it easy on us though we don't really know what we are doing. I mean we have a good idea but we are learning just like you. Just our lessons involve getting to know you and your lessons involve getting to know the world. Just be patient with us and hopefully we won't completely screw this up.
What other information can I give you on your first blog post? We have decided to name you Collin Lowell Sawyer. The name Collin because it means of a triumphant people, dove, and (I think is the real reason your Dad likes this name) good looks. We decided to spell it with two L's because well Dad liked it better that way and it is the Scottish way of spelling it. Grandpa Moffat loves that! We chose Lowell because it was my Grandpa Anderson's first name. It means little wolf. I also really liked this name because well I am hoping Grandpa Anderson and Grandpa Moffat are training you to come down. Its sad that they won't be here in person but I hope you are getting to know them in the spirit world because they really are great men.
We also chose this name because I had a dream during Christmas break that is what we named you. Then when we returned to Utah, we went to the temple and it just felt right to give you that name. I don't if this is going to happen to all of your siblings but I am glad it happened with you. I really hope you like your name and I hope it means something to you.
We have also decided to decorate your room with animal theme. Mostly African animals because well your Mom really wants take you there someday. Since we can't afford it right now we decided to bring it to you. We hope you like adventures and the outside! Maybe you could be the modern Indian Jones. I would be okay with that, especially if you keep the original theme that John Williams wrote. You don't know who that is...don't worry we will introduce you to him. Just know he is one of the great cinema composers.
Lets see what else do you like? You love cheeseburgers! I don't think I have ever eaten this many cheeseburgers in my life! Thank goodness most fast food places have them on their dollar menus! You use to like Mexican food but not as much. Well maybe you do but not mommies acid reflux. Probably to much information but hey I thought you might want to know.
Well that is all I can think of to tell you thus far. I hope you are developing well and getting ready for the big day! Once again we are really excited to meet you. I will try to start updating your blog so you know what is going on. Just know that we love you and we are hoping that you are just as excited to meet us. We hope you feel safe and secure.
Love Mom
